YOUR ROLE

Provide general clerical support to assigned departments. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. The Logistics Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the inventory database, data entry and providing scheduled and adhoc reports to management and the customer.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO
  • Advanced knowledge of the systems - IMFirst, IMPULSE, etc.
  • Provide advanced support in any of the functional areas within the ALC.
  • Specialize in resolving discrepancies in an assigned area.
  • Support and help others to do their job.
  • Request other associates to perform a task.
  • Collaborate with other Logistics Coordinators.
  • Identify potential talent and communicate the information to Supervisor/Manager.
  • Lead by example.
  • Work closely with the Team Lead to ensure results are achieved.
  • Help new hires to ensure they are trained.
  • Work under limited supervision for routine situations.
  • Manage material organization by moving materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets, shelves, or kits, moving orders to the packing station or shipping department.
  • All other duties as assigned.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Education and Experience:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements.
  • PC literacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job-specific software applications. Accurate typing and/or data entry skills.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and presenting information one-on-one or in small group situations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs and solicit customer feedback to improve performance.
  • Must read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities.
  • Ability to deal with multiple demands and various tasks/deadlines simultaneously.
Experience and Qualification
  • Qualified candidates will have 1+ years’ management experience in a transportation/operational/warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Must possess working knowledge of RFID scanning systems/devices.
  • A College Diploma is required, with a plus in logistics or transportation.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with customers and employees.
  • Must possess problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making and planning/organizing skills.
  • Excellent written/oral communication and excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and excellent time management and computer skills.
  • Must be creative and possess the ability to think outside the box.
  • Must be able to work afternoons; nights if required.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
