A clean energy development company is seeking an experienced professional to manage project budgets and schedules across renewable energy projects. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in business or finance, along with 2+ years of energy industry experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial modeling skills and excellent communication abilities. A flexible work culture is fostered with unlimited PTO and health benefits.
Intersect has been a fully flexible workplace since its founding in 2016. We’ve been very intentional about the way we do things. We are not work-from-home, hybrid, or in-office – we are any and all of those options. Deepening social connections and offering shared experiences is a cornerstone of the way we work. We connect as a team at our Team Week experiences four times a year and at our Hub locations - SF Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, NY; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; Calgary, AB; and Toronto, ON.
We are currently looking for candidates located within 60 miles of any of the listed hubs to foster more in-person connections while maintaining our flexible remote culture.
As part of Intersect’s East Development team, you’ll help shape the future of energy across SPP by managing the budgets, schedules, and economics that drive successful projects. You’ll support the full development lifecycle for solar, storage, wind, and load projects partnering with specialists across engineering, finance, origination, and real estate. Your work will balance detail-driven execution with big-picture strategy, ensuring projects move forward on time, on budget, and with strong economic value.
The Development team turns ideas into reality by advancing clean projects from early-stage strategy through to the start of construction. We identify opportunities, secure land and transmission, navigate permitting, and structure the contracts that bring projects to life. Our work spans multiple technologies and markets, requiring close collaboration with internal experts and external partners alike. Joining this team means contributing to the foundation of Intersect’s growth while building deep expertise in large-scale clean energy development.
At Intersect, we care about your well-being, growth, and balance. Here’s how we support you:
Total Compensation: $121,000 - $128,000 (total compensation includes base salary + bonus in USD)
Health & wellness: 100% premium coverage for you and your dependents on medical, dental, and vision
Time to recharge: Unlimited PTO, plus two company-wide breaks (Fourth of July & end of year)
Family support: Up to 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave, plus 6 additional weeks for birth parents; access to family planning support via Carrot
Mental health: Free access to Ginger coaching and counseling, plus a Headspace account for mindfulness and meditation
Retirement: 3% non-elective employer contribution to your 401k or RRSP, ensuring your financial future is on the right track
Perks & extras: $150 monthly food stipend, pet insurance allowance, and full home office setup
