Title: Service Technician (Welder)

Under the supervision of the Branch Manager and/or Field Supervisor, the Service Technician will be responsible for the setup and servicing of Strad Inc. products. The incumbent must be familiar with the products that Strad manufactures, sells, and rents to customers, including Matting products.
Major Responsibilities
- Have welding experience applicable to the service, repair, and maintenance of equipment such as invert systems, drilling mud storage, pumps, tanks, rigs, and matting equipment.
- Assist with setup and takedown of tank farms and matting projects.
- Operate and maintain related equipment, including loaders, grapples, and hoes.
- Learn all aspects of field operations and safety regulations.
- Perform repairs on mats during slow periods.
Specific Accountabilities
- Service, repair, and maintain equipment as outlined.
- Travel as needed to service equipment and meet customer needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Complete required paperwork and update databases accurately.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Knowledge, Education, Skills & Qualifications
- Previous oilfield experience preferred.
- Experience with related oilfield equipment is an asset.
- Mechanical skills and electrical knowledge are preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible scheduling and ability to work independently.
- Clean driver’s abstract; safety training (WHMIS, First Aid, H2S).
- Picker operator ticket is a plus; Strad will assist if necessary.
- Ability to work alone and travel out of town if required.
Physical Requirements
- Free from drugs and alcohol.
- Ability to perform strenuous activity, lift up to 100 lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Maintain mental alertness and safe driving practices.
