Taiko Labs is at the forefront of blockchain innovation, developing the Taiko ZK-EVM, a Layer 2 solution that scales Ethereum by faithfully emulating its technical and non-technical characteristics. Our solution, an Ethereum-equivalent (Type 1) ZK-EVM, enhances the performance of Ethereum by supporting all EVM opcodes within a decentralized, permission-less, and secure Layer 2/3 framework.

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team to help design and develop high-quality front-end applications and backend services that interface with our ZK-EVM. You will also build tools that help others do the same and help drive the usability of the protocol. Frontend applications include web apps that allow users to enter/exit our layer-2 from Ethereum.

About the role

• Design and develop end user-facing applications.
• Design and develop scalable backend services.
• Work cross-functionally with other engineering teams (internal and external) to assist in achieving desired outcomes.

• 5+ years experience in software engineering.
• Strong experience with TypeScript or JavaScript and modern frameworks such as Svelte or React.
• Capable of architecting and maintaining high-quality, high-performance, clean code.
• Understanding of Ethereum is preferred, as is familiarity with ethers/web3 JS libraries, and hardhat/truffle.
• Some experience with UX design, wire-framing, and related tools.
• A deep sense of ownership in your work, capable of seeing a complex project through from start to finish.
