The Team
Join the Fort Nelson Fire Zone, an established team of dedicated professionals where your expertise can have a lasting impact on wildfire management in northern British Columbia. We are nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, surrounded by stunning wilderness. Our team is made up of skilled professionals, with multiple Initial Attack crews, officers, and support staff, where we work (and play) together in the diverse and rugged landscapes of the Fort Nelson region. As part of a small-town community, we prioritize a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment that encourages personal and professional growth.
The Role
Is all about keeping things running smoothly. You'll be the go-to person for answering questions from staff, clients, and partners—either over the phone or at the front counter—and making sure they get connected to the right people. You'll help with a variety of office tasks like preparing documents, booking travel and meeting rooms, tracking expenses, and keeping records up to date. You’ll also support the team with daily data entry, help organize supplies, and make sure equipment and facilities are in good shape. On top of that, you’ll play a part in fire preparedness planning and help new staff get settled in. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, staying organized, and being part of a team that makes a real difference.
