You’ll join our ERI – Resources team to design the electrical systems that keep mines and industrial facilities running safely and efficiently across Ontario. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, grow your skills on complex brownfield and greenfield work, and see your designs move from model to site.

What you can expect to do here
- Produce and update electrical drawings and models (single‑line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, layouts) for process plants and mining facilities.
- Draft and coordinate in AutoCAD; collaborate in BIM environments where appropriate (Revit exposure is an asset).
- Assist with calculations (loads, short‑circuit/coordination inputs, equipment sizing), specifications, and material take‑offs.
- Support site activities—walkdowns, as‑built verification, and construction reviews—with a strong focus on safety.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to meet scope, quality, and schedule expectations while following applicable codes and standards.
What you’ll bring to WSP
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant electrical design experience; a previous co‑op term in an engineering consulting firm is preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an asset (BIM360 familiarity is a plus).
- Understanding of applicable codes/standards (e.g., Ontario Electrical Safety Code) and industrial design practices.
- Clear communication, collaborative problem‑solving, and a learning mindset; ability to visit client and construction sites as required.
