Frontend Application Engineer

The Opportunity

As a Frontend Engineer on the Nascent engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and building the user interfaces that power our trading platform. From creating elegant, high-performance UI in React to collaborating across the stack, you’ll help shape products that enable our team to move fast and operate at their best. You'll contribute to a lean, agile development team—owning components end to end, bringing clarity to ambiguous problems, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible through creative solutions and sharp execution.

You will thrive in this role if you're a resourceful builder who loves solving complex challenges and turning ideas into intuitive, high-impact interfaces. You enjoy connecting the dots between teams, and you move fluidly between starting bold new projects and refining existing ones. You’re excited by the future of crypto and trading, supercharge your workflows with LLM tools, and care deeply about both speed and quality. Responsibilities

  • Design and build world-class UI for the next phase of our trading platform, enabling our team to do their best work.
  • Ensure resilience and stability through quality code reviews, unit, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Be an integral contributor to a lean agile development team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Take full ownership of multiple components including design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Operate independently and in unison with a team to deliver code updates.
  • Contribute creative ideas and novel approaches to product and engineering challenges, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
  • Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous problems, identifying key requirements and proposing actionable solutions.

About you

  • You are curious about the future of crypto, trading, and the financial world as a whole.
  • You love using LLM tools in your daily workflows.
  • You are as excited by starting a project as completing, maintaining, and continually optimizing it.
  • You are resourceful and can toe the line between moving fast and breaking things and moving methodically to get things right the first time.
  • You are extremely agile and have a strong ability to adapt quickly to evolving requirements.
  • You are an avid learner and always keeping on top of the latest technologies.

Preferred experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in Front-end development, ideally using React, Angular or VueJS. Bonus if you have experience with and/or interest in learning Rust.
  • Previous experience in creating visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces, ideally for complex financial applications.
  • UX Design Skills with experience in tooling such as InVision, Figma, Balsamiq.
  • Have built trading and/or financial applications in the past (through experience, hobby, or project work).
