Role: Reporting to the Building Automation Operations Manager, the Building Automation Technician will be responsible for projects, maintenance, and service calls.

Day-to-day, you will be working with Project Managers, Service Coordinators, Field Technicians, Building Operators & Management to complete projects, preventive maintenance, and service calls on time and on budget.

Someone who will conduct themselves successfully, and as required, to fulfill contracts, contribute to projects, and service our valued clients and stakeholders.

This role requires the tech to work on job sites every day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Compliance with Ambient's Health and Safety Policies
• Investigation of existing or new systems and equipment
• Provide take-offs and assist with quotations
• Network start-up and setup, troubleshooting (IP, RS-485, etc.)
• Point-to-point verification of I/O
• Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot systems
• Implement graphical user interface (GUI)
• Documenting and cataloguing commissioning
• Submission of commissioning reports
• Perform wiring checkouts and automation start-ups using provided software and tools
• Operate and configure PC workstations, user interfaces, IP networking devices
• Participates in training directed at increasing job-related skills
