PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

The Production Team Lead is responsible for the site's technical and logistical operations. Their focus is on the guest experience, which is achieved through technical expertise, the development of leaders, and the growth of the volunteer team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manages the Sunday audiovisual and technical operations and ensures a high level of quality control.
  2. Leads and manages the volunteer team by recruiting, training, scheduling, developing, and supervising volunteers.
  3. Understands and models the Volunteer Appreciation Strategy of the Site, ensuring volunteers are connected and feel appreciated and supported.
  4. Maintains the logistics and maintenance of the Production equipment and supplies.
  5. Assists with occasional events as assigned.
  6. Maintains a commitment to developing technical knowledge of production video, audio, and lighting systems.
  7. Ensures all responsibilities are completed in a purposeful, strategic and focused manner that points people to Jesus.
  8. Acts as a servant by inviting, discipling, training, and equipping others to serve.
  9. Ensures all responsibilities are produced, promoted, and led with a high level of innovation and excellence, honouring God at the highest level.
  10. Acts with a sense of ambitious urgency, ensuring all work is completed wisely and impactfully. Time is a gift from God.
  11. Maintains an openness to being a learner by committing to continuous spiritual, professional, and self-development.
  12. Contributes to the best team culture by participating joyfully and working well with peers.
  13. Commits to thanking at least one volunteer on a weekly basis.
  14. Demonstrates behaviour consistent with the Standard of Conduct as outlined in the Village Staff Manual.

  1. There are no barriers or technical distractions in the Sunday service or midweek events which would inhibit guests from hearing the Gospel message.
  2. Team members serve joyfully and authentically out of the Good News that we are redeemed and have our purpose in Jesus—everything we do points back to this.
  3. Team members understand their role in seeing people become fully devoted followers of Jesus.

Community:

  1. People are given the opportunity to use their gifts and talents in high-capacity volunteer roles - entering into the work that Christ is doing through the local church.
  2. The volunteer team is healthy in number, commitment, and leadership; they are equipped, engaged, and appreciated.

Culture:

  1. Teams are representing the truths of Christianity to the world in insightful, creative, and gracious ways - going into the surrounding culture to bring Jesus to everyone.
  2. Relationships are being pursued with unchurched people - connecting with them and inviting them to events and Sunday services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Proficient with technology. Technical training is an asset.
  2. Philosophically aligned with Village Church's Mission, Focus and strategy.
  3. Fulfills character qualifications as highlighted in 1 Timothy and Titus.
  4. Fulfill the duties required of Village Church members as outlined in the ‘This is Village Church’ course.
  5. Pursues a deeper relationship with Christ and greater spiritual growth through prayer, the gospel, and community. Is a disciple.
  6. Has passion and skill for leading people. Proven ability to discern, identify, recruit, and develop leaders.
  7. Experience in serving the local church is an asset, but not limited to vocational ministry.
  8. Dependable and servant-hearted; will do any job with joy and passion.
  9. A class 5 driver's license is required.

WORK WEEK

  1. 12 hrs/week
  2. Sundays and midweek prep. Midweek events as assigned.
