Job summary
A construction firm in Kingston, Eastern Ontario, seeks a skilled carpenter to install and repair wood structures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in carpentry, the ability to lead a team, and experience operating hand and power tools. This full-time role requires working in all weather conditions and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on site. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work independently are necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry or as a lead hand.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and finish wood structures with precision.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills
Tools
$30-$35 per hour, commensurate with experience
Full Time (40 hours Monday – Friday)
Geographical Area
- Install, repair, and finish wood structures with precision and attention to detail
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on site
- Proven experience as a carpenter/lead hand
- Ability to work unsupervised and lead others
- Knowledge of framing to finish work
- Work in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
