Job summary

Street Culture Project is hiring Treehouse Mentors to join our evening team and support our drop-in program for youth ages 13-24. In this role, you'll help create a safe, welcoming space, walk alongside youth in their day-to-day challenges, and foster belonging and resilience through mentorship, guidance, and group activities.

You'll build safe, supportive, and respectful relationships with youth, support with homework, resources, and everyday needs, co-facilitate wellness groups, and model

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary credential is an asset.
  • Experience in youth work, mentorship, or education (paid or volunteer) is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • CPR/First Aid, ASIST, or Mental Health First Aid training (asset).

Responsibilities

  • Build safe, supportive, and respectful relationships with youth.
  • Support with homework, resources, and everyday needs.
  • Co-facilitate wellness groups, recreational activities, and discussions.
  • Model healthy boundaries and provide mentorship that fosters belonging and growth.

Job description

Title: Youth Mentor
Location: 2425 13th Avenue, Regina SK
Employment: Full Time (30+ hours per week)
Compensation: $17.50-20.00/hr
Application Deadline: Wednesday September 9, 2026
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 3:00 pm - 10:30 pm, (Wednesday - Sunday)

You'll:

  • Co-facilitate wellness groups, recreational activities, and discussions
  • Model healthy boundaries and provide mentorship that fosters belonging and growth
  • Work collaboratively with other mentors and program staff to create a positive environment
What You Bring

We're looking for someone who can show up with compassion, consistency, and curiosity.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary certificate/degree in youth work, social sciences, or education is an asset
  • Experience in youth work, mentorship, or education (paid or volunteer) is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build trust while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Commitment to SCP's core approaches: Harm Reduction, Youth-Centred Care, Trauma-Informed Practice, and Strength-Based Mentorship
  • CPR/First Aid, ASIST, or Mental Health First Aid training (asset)
Additional Requirements
  • Valid SK Driver's License with clean abstract
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Evening availability (3:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m., flexible scheduling)
