Job summary

Street Culture Project, Regina, Saskatchewan, is hiring a full-time Youth Mentor for its Treehouse evening drop-in program serving youth aged 13-24. The role builds supportive relationships, helps with everyday needs and resources, and co-facilitates recreational and wellness activities using harm-reduction, trauma-informed, youth-centred and strength-based approaches.

Required: Grade 12 diploma or equivalent and strong communication/interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Youth work or mentorship experience is an asset.
  • Education in youth work, social sciences or related field is an asset.
  • Valid Saskatchewan driver's license with clean abstract and Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search are required.
  • First Aid/CPR, ASIST and Mental Health First Aid are assets.

Application Information

Street Culture Project is hiring a full-time Youth Mentor for its Treehouse evening drop-in program serving youth ages 1324.
The Youth Mentor will build supportive relationships with youth, assist with everyday needs and resources, co-facilitate recreational and wellness activities, maintain professional boundaries, respond to challenging situations, and work collaboratively with program staff. The position uses harm-reduction, trauma-informed, youth-centred and strength-based approaches.
Applicants require a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Youth work or mentorship experience is an asset. Education in youth work, social sciences or a related field is also an asset.
A valid Saskatchewan drivers licence with a clean drivers abstract and a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search are required. First Aid/CPR, ASIST and Mental Health First Aid are assets.
Hours: WednesdaySunday, 3:00 p.m.10:30 p.m.
Wage: $17.50$20.00/hour
Location: 2425 13th Avenue, Regina
