The OvernightDrop-In Support Mentor is responsible for the ongoing direct support of the participants of the Overnight Warming Shelter Drop-in; ensuring all programrequirements are consistently being met. This includes participating in theongoing planning, monitoring, and communication of activities of the programparticipants.
The OvernightDrop-In Support Mentor must also demonstrate effective guidance and disciplinetechniques continuously. The Overnight Drop-In Support Mentor is expected tofollow the Personnel Policies, including Workplace Health and Safety Policies, OperationalPractices, and the goals of Life’s Journey Inc. in completing their duties.
This positionworks collaboratively with other members of the Participant Care Team includingother Overnight Drop-In Support Mentors and Program Manager. In addition to theParticipant Care Team, the Shelter Support Mentor is also responsible forensuring positive interactions with collaterals associated with theparticipants being supported.

JOB-SPECIFICQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES
Post secondary education in socialservices is considered an asset.
Optimally, one year of experience in a related role and supporting individuals with disabilities and experiencinghomelessness.
Experience working with individualsstruggling with addictions and mental health.
Must demonstrate guidance anddiscipline techniques.
