Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals Limited is seeking customer-oriented, motivated individuals for a Yard/Equipment Associate role in Lethbridge, AB. You will wash, inspect, and move equipment, assist drivers, and operate forklifts as part of a collaborative team.

The position requires a valid Class 5 license, ability to lift ~50 lbs, and willingness to work outdoors year-round with overtime when needed. Our team emphasizes safety, training, and a supportive work environment in Canada.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 driver's license required, with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract.
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Forklift license or experience operating forklifts and/or other construction equipment is a definite asset.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors year-round.
• Available and willing to work overtime when required.
• Self-starter with strong customer-service orientation and team mindset.
• Curiosity to learn about construction equipment and rental industry.
• Comfortable with computers/technology for inspections and inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and detail equipment using pressure washers, vacuums, and cleaning agents.
• Maintain a clean and organized equipment yard and wash bay area.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading equipment.
• Operate forklift and other construction equipment.
• Check equipment for damage when returned to the yard, report damage and fill out service tags.
• Follow all health and safety policies.
• Assist with fueling, tire storage, or moving equipment as needed.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

What You’ll Be Doing

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Valid Class 5 driver's license required, with a clean or satisfactory driver's abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
• You'll be required to provide a copy of your updated driver's abstract upon request.
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Forklift license or experience operating forklifts and/or other construction equipment is a definite asset.
• Must be comfortable with working outdoors year-round.
• Available and willing to work overtime when required.
• Mechanical aptitude and/or previous experience operating equipment is an asset.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter, very customer-service oriented and works well in a team environment.
• Curiosity to learn new things & understand more about construction equipment and the rental industry.
• Comfortable with computers/technology (for filling out inspections, inventory management, etc.).

Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
