Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals in Ontario is seeking a service-minded technician to inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment, including earth-moving, compact, and aerial gear.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, test repairs, and mentor apprentices while ensuring accurate documentation and strict health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience working on a variety of construction equipment.
• Valid Class G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
• You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.
• Must have own tools.
• Available and willing to work over-time as needed.
• Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
• Expertise in diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Highly adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.
• Comfortable with computers (for filling out inspections, inventory management, etc.).
• Physical stamina and ability to stand and bend for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
