Job description

We are seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team. This role involves a mix of structural steel fabrication, aluminum and stainless work, and ship repair, both in-shop and on site. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a marine or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and weld structural steel components in accordance with drawings and specifications
  • Perform welding and fabrication on carbon steel, with aluminum and stainless steel experience considered a strong asset
  • Carry out ship repair and marine fabrication work, including modifications and repairs on vessels
  • Use welding processes such as SMAW (stick), GMAW (MIG), and GTAW (TIG) as required
  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders
  • Cut, fit, tack, and weld materials accurately and efficiently
  • Operate fabrication equipment including grinders, saws, drills, and other shop tools
  • Work safely in confined spaces and around heavy equipment when required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company safety policies and applicable regulations
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years as a welder/fabricator in an industrial or marine environment
  • Strong experience welding structural steel
  • Aluminum and stainless steel welding experience is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with ship repair, marine fabrication, or work aboard vessels is an asset
  • Welding tickets/certifications (CWB, marine, or equivalent) are an asset or willingness to obtain
  • Physically capable of performing manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in varied environments
  • Valid driver’s license
