Job summary

Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems — is seeking a motivated Personal Lines Team Lead to steer our insurance team, manage VIP client relationships, and support the managing director in daily operations.

You will write and manage policies for VIP and high-value clients, improve workflows, coach brokers, and ensure exceptional service across Canada.

Qualifications

• Active Alberta Level 1 or 2 insurance license required.
• Proven experience in personal lines insurance and client service.
• Experience in leadership or mentorship roles.
• Strong organizational, proactive, hands-on leadership skills.
• Ability to manage VIP clients and complex service scenarios.
• Excellent communication and prioritization abilities.
• Familiarity with insurance workflows and team dynamics.
• Education in insurance, business or related fields is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for the team and operational right-hand to the MD.
• Write and manage insurance policies for VIP and high-value clients.
• Filter and prioritize the manager’s inbox; escalate only critical issues.
• Support brokers with new business development and client servicing escalations.
• Improve workflows, team organization, and collaboration.
• Delegate tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
