DGA Careers in Edmonton seeks an experienced Personal Lines Team Lead to guide a growing local team in an in-office setting. You will lead coaching, workflow management, and service excellence for our personal lines portfolio.

You will mentor peers, coordinate underwriting needs, and drive performance while collaborating with insurer partners and leadership. Strong leadership, regulation knowledge, and EPIC experience are valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Personal Lines brokerage experience.
• Alberta Level 2 General Insurance Licence.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, mentoring, supervisory, or Team Lead experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of Personal Lines insurance (Home, Auto, Condo, Tenants).
• Strong underwriting knowledge to handle complex insurance situations.
• Experience handling escalated client concerns and service issues.
• Understanding brokerage workflows, insurer requirements, renewals, new business, policy servicing.
• Proven ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and an operational mindset.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with consistency and detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, mentoring, and support to an established team of Personal Lines professionals.
• Manage team workflow and help ensure consistent service standards, timely renewals, and effective handling of new and existing business.
• Serve as a technical resource on Personal Lines products, underwriting requirements, coverage questions, and complex client situations.
• Support team members with escalated client concerns and assist with resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
• Coach employees to strengthen their technical knowledge, client service capabilities, confidence, and overall performance.
• Create a collaborative, accountable, and positive team environment.
• Help lead the team through operational changes and evolving business needs.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing employee development.

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established and growing Canadian insurance brokerage, is looking for an experienced and people-focused Personal Lines Team Lead to join its Edmonton operation.

This is a newly revamped leadership position created to provide additional support and leadership capacity to an established and growing Personal Lines team. The successful candidate will play an important role in strengthening team development, workflow consistency, client service, and overall performance.

The primary focus of this position is people leadership, coaching, workflow management, and operational support. While some client involvement may be beneficial, the majority of the role will be dedicated to helping the team perform at its best.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Personal Lines professional who has naturally become a resource and mentor to others, or an existing Team Lead looking to take on a meaningful leadership role with long-term growth potential.

What You Will Do

What We Are Looking For

5+ years of progressive Personal Lines brokerage experience.

Alberta Level 2 General Insurance Licence.

Demonstrated leadership, coaching, mentoring, supervisory, or Team Lead experience.

Strong technical knowledge of Personal Lines insurance, including Home, Auto, Condo, Tenants, and related coverages.
