Job summary

David Aplin Recruiting is assisting a well-established Ontario brokerage to hire a Personal Lines Broker for their Kincardine, ON office. This service-focused role manages an existing book of Home, Auto, and Property insurance, delivering knowledgeable advice and building strong client relationships.

There are no mandatory sales targets; opportunities exist to earn commissions through new business and referrals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Personal Lines insurance experience.
• Experience servicing an assigned book of business.
• Experience with Home and Auto insurance.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an assigned Personal Lines book of business.
• Provide clients with advice regarding insurance products, coverage, and options.
• Handle Home, Auto, and Property insurance inquiries and servicing.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and other client requests.
• Prepare and submit applications, quotes, policy documentation, and proposals.
• Review client coverage and identify opportunities for additional coverage or cross-selling.
• Support renewal activities and address client needs.
• Handle client inquiries by phone, email, and other channels.
• Assist clients with first reports of claims and follow up as required.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Ensure policies and documentation comply with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Maintain accurate client records and notes within EPIC.
• Manage daily workflow and prioritize transactions to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Stay up to date on insurance products, coverage changes, legislation, and industry developments.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established, mid-sized insurance brokerage with a strong presence across Ontario. They are looking for a Personal Lines Broker to join their Kincardine, ON office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Personal Lines professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing an existing book of business, and providing knowledgeable advice across Home, Auto, and Property insurance.

The role is primarily service-focused, with the opportunity to participate in sales and generate new business.There are no assigned sales targets, allowing you to develop new business through referrals, family and friends, walk-ins, and other opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and service an assigned Personal Lines book of business
• Provide clients with advice regarding insurance products, coverage, and options
• Handle Home, Auto, and Property insurance inquiries and servicing

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of Personal Lines insurance experience
• Experience servicing an assigned book of business
• Experience with Home and Auto insurance
• Strong understanding of Personal Lines products and coverages
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Comfortable identifying cross‑selling and new business opportunities
• RIBO or OTL license is an asset
• EPIC experience is an asset

Compensation & Benefits

• $45,000–$59,000 base salary, based on experience
• Commission opportunities on the book of business serviced
