Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced UX Writer / Senior Content Designer to deliver user-centered content across digital tools, apps, prototypes, and websites. This role focuses on crafting accessible, plain-language content aligned with Canadian regulatory standards, while collaborating with internal stakeholders, legal teams, and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in digital content design, thrives in collaborative environments, and applies design thinking methodologies to create intuitive customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize, design, and execute cross‑channel content experiences for digital products.
  • Create, evaluate, and refine language used in tools, applications, and websites.
  • Apply user‑centered design principles to ensure accessibility and compliance with customer needs.
  • Collaborate with Experience Design Leads, Product Owners, Engineers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in all stages of the product lifecycle, including ideation, research, scoping, estimation, design, and post‑launch evaluation.
  • Conduct legal and compliance reviews to ensure alignment with internal and external requirements.
  • Support internal and external content initiatives and develop presentations for leadership.
  • Manage confidential information with discretion and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in content design and provide guidance in complex situations.
  • Independently solve complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in digital, conversational, or content design
  • Experience in design‑related disciplines (e.g., user‑centered design, HCI, human factors, psychology, visual design, design strategy) is a strong asset
Technical Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Figma
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity with the Canadian Government Plain Language Standards Act
  • Experience with the Accessible Canada Act
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Public website experience
  • Experience participating in cross‑functional enterprise initiatives
  • Strong understanding of accessibility and compliance frameworks
