Job summary

Wright Tree Service of Canada in Calgary, Alberta is hiring a full-time Utility Tree Trimmer (UTT) to join our team dedicated to safe, efficient vegetation management for utility infrastructure.

You will operate chainsaws, aerial lifts, and cranes, and you will work under a General Foreperson with mentorship and safety at the forefront. Must pass drug screening and have First Aid/CPR or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Utility Tree Trimmer Certification.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license, with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Pre-employment drug screening.
• First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Trim, prune, and remove trees or branches that pose a risk to utility infrastructure.
• Use industry-standard techniques to safely remove trees without causing damage.
• Operate equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, and cranes.
• Train and supervise crew members in safe practices around high-voltage equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of vegetation management activities.
• Document completed work for utility or regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect nearby habitats.
• Perform other duties as required.
