Job summary

Wright Tree Service of Canada is seeking a Utility Arborist (CUA). You will trim, prune, and remove trees posing a risk to utility infrastructure, operate equipment such as chainsaws, aerial lifts, and cranes, and train crew members in safe practices around high-voltage equipment.

This full-time role offers hourly pay of $40–$45, travel to marshaling points, a live-out allowance option, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, PPE and climbing gear provided, and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• Certified Utility Arborist (CUA).
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to withstand exposure to all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Trim, prune, and remove trees or branches that pose a risk to utility infrastructure.
• Use industry-standard techniques to safely remove trees without causing damage.
• Operate equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, and cranes.
• Train and supervise crew members in safe practices around high-voltage equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of vegetation management activities.
• Document completed work for utility or regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect habitats.

Experience and Knowledge Expectations:
