Job summary

Wright Tree Service of Canada is seeking a Utility Arborist (CUA) to prune, remove, and manage vegetation around utility infrastructure. You will operate chainsaws, aerial lifts, and cranes while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role offers full-time hours, travel to marshaling points, and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must have a valid Class 5 license with air endorsement (or willingness to obtain) and pass drug screening.

Qualifications

• Certified Utility Arborist (CUA) is required.
• Driver's license: Valid Class 5 with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Trim, prune, and remove trees or branches that threaten utility infrastructure.
• Use industry-standard techniques to safely remove trees without damage.
• Operate equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, and cranes.
• Train and supervise crew members in safe practices around high-voltage equipment.
• Maintain records of vegetation management activities and document completed work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document completed work for utility or regulatory compliance
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect nearby habitats
• Perform other duties as required

Experience and Knowledge Expectations:

• Certified Utility Arborist (CUA).
• Valid Class 5 drivers' license, with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Applicants must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.
