Job summary

AgeCare in Ontario is seeking a Nursing Unit Clerk to coordinate daily staffing for the Nursing Department and help maintain a safe, resident-centered environment.

You will manage call-in staffing, update the Master Schedule, seek overtime approval from the Director of Care, and monitor attendance reports while communicating any recurring absenteeism.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education an asset.
• Exceptional English communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• CPR certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily staffing of the Nursing Department.
• Replace staff on a daily call-in basis and update Master Schedule.
• Obtain overtime approval from the Director of Care.
• Maintain attendance/absenteeism reports and report to the Director of Care.
• Communicate recurrent absenteeism to the Director of Care.
