Job summary

Pattison Agriculture in Swift Current, SK is seeking a Temporary Semi-Truck Driver to join our fast-paced trucking team. This full-time temporary role runs for the next 2-3 months with potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include transporting overweight and over-dimensional loads, supporting the Sales Department with equipment deliveries, keeping records current, and upholding safety and regulatory standards across Canada and the USA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience hauling equipment and truck/trailer maintenance.
• Knowledge of overweight/over dimensional hauls and RGn trailers.
• Clean drivers abstract in the last 3 years.
• Valid 1A Drivers License with ability to drive in Canada and USA.
• Must be able to work extended shifts away from home 2–3 days.

Responsibilities

• Transport overweight and over-dimensional loads to/from customers or between dealerships.
• Support Sales with equipment deliveries as needed.
• Maintain records and up to date certifications and permits.
• Meet operating standards, required inspections, and codes for commercial vehicle transport.
• Keep assigned truck and related equipment in good condition and monitor performance and mechanical fitness of vehicle.
• Provide basic operating directions to customers as needed.
• Ensure self and others follow all safety regulations and requirements.
• Build and maintain positive co-worker relations.

This Full-Time Temp position is to fill a need for the next 2-3 months, with potential for permanent employment after the term, for the right candidate, and based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Transport over-weight and over-dimensional equipment loads to/from customers and/or between dealerships
• Support Sales Department with equipment deliveries as needed
• Maintain accurate records and up to date certifications and permits
• Meet operating standards, required inspections, and codes for commercial vehicle transport
• Keep assigned truck and related equipment in good condition and monitor performance and mechanical fitness of vehicle
• Provide basic operating directions to customers as needed
• Ensure self and others follow all safety regulations and requirements
• Build and maintain positive co-worker relations

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience hauling equipment, and truck/trailer repair/maintenance
• Knowledgeable of overweight/over dimensional hauls and use of RGN trailers
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and internet functions
• Knowledge of Electronic Logbook Device, and operation of ag equipment would be considered an asset
• Clean drivers abstract in the last 3 years
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid 1A Drivers License, and ability to drive within Canada and USA
• Must be able to work extended shifts away from home location 2 to 3 days as required
