Job summary

The University of Victoria in Victoria, BC invites applications for a permanent Student Support Coordinator within the Office of Student Life. The role coordinates prevention, intervention and support for at-risk students across campus and community systems, including crisis management and trauma-informed approaches.

As part of the Student Services division, you will collaborate with Health, Counselling, Residence and Disability Services to enable student success and retention.

Qualifications

• Masters' degree in a related field (e.g., social work, public health, counselling psychology).
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing and responding to sexualized/physical violence.
• Experience handling crises and providing case management support.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated advice to students experiencing emotional, social, behavioural and non-academic concerns.
• Help students identify options to make informed decisions.
• Provide non-academic case management support and coordination for students with complex needs.
• Coordinate care, referrals and follow-up for high-risk student issues.
• May work outside regular hours (evenings/weekends) as needed.
