Job summary

The University of Victoria is seeking a Field Education Coordinator to support students across Canada and potential international placements. The role focuses on identifying, strategizing and securing field placements that align with career goals.

You will build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and agencies, provide learning opportunities for practicum students, and collaborate with the Social Work unit to support program options.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work with 5 years of social work experience.
• Knowledge of equity, social justice and anti‑oppressive approaches.
• Experience managing field education for BSW and MSW programs.
• Proficient with office tech and data systems including calendars.
• Strong counselling, mentoring and advising skills.
• Public relations expertise.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure field placements for students.
• Maintain relationships with community organizations and agencies.
• Provide learning environments and opportunities for practicum students to grow.
• Coordinate with programs across Canada and international placements.
