Red Deer Polytechnic is seeking a Student Care Coordinator to support students facing complex barriers, advocate for CARES principles, and coordinate wrap-around services. The role focuses on non-academic conduct, crisis response, and gender-based violence disclosures, while partnering with campus units to secure timely referrals.

You will build resources, lead risk assessments, and educate the campus community to foster a safe, respectful environment for all students at RDPolytechnic.

Qualifications

• Four (4) year undergraduate degree, or three (3) year undergraduate degree plus one full additional year of university in a related program representing four years of study or equivalent in Social Work.
• Must have current registration with Alberta College of Social Workers or another professional regulatory body.
• A Vulnerable Sector check is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain caseload of students with a wide variety of barriers and safety concerns.
• Provide coordinated institutional response for students with complex support needs.
• Point of contact for faculty and staff regarding student mental health, well-being or behaviour.
• Provide leadership in assessing, analyzing and responding to students of concern and potential risk.
• Engage and coordinate external supports and transitions to/from RDP with follow-up.
