Job summary

John Ross & Sons Ltd. in Truro, NS is seeking a torch cutting/welding operator for a full-time, on-site role. You will operate torches, perform minor repairs, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Ideal candidates have college or technical training and 2+ years torch cutting or welding experience, plus a safety-driven mindset and clear communication skills. Driving in all weather is required; shift is Mon-Fri with optional Saturdays.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Run and clean torches


• Change liquids and adjust regulator


• Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment


• Perform minor repairs to equipment


• Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to proper manager


• Maintain clean work environment


• Other duties as assigned

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.Saturdays as needed, 7:00AM - 12:00PM
