Job summary

John Ross & Sons Ltd. in Goodwood, Nova Scotia is looking for a full-time laborer to sort and handle materials, maintain inventory, and keep a safe, organized work area. The role requires lifting up to 50lbs and comfortable use of PPE in all weather conditions.

Hours are Monday to Friday evenings with potential Saturday work; the job is on-site and environment involves outdoor conditions and heavy lifting at a long-standing Atlantic Canada scrap metal recycler.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy labor is an asset.

• Sort and handle various materials accurately and efficiently
• Maintain and organize inventory
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
• Work effectively in both team-based and independent settings
• Perform duties in all weather conditions as required

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in heavy lifting general labor an asset
• Must be able to lift 50lbs consistently
• Must be comfortable wearing full PPE while on shift

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM and Saturdays as needed 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Location

Goodwood, Nova Scotia (reliable transportation required; not accessible by public transit)
