Job summary

Quincaillerie Richelieu Ltée/Richelieu Hardware Ltd. seeks a driven Sales Representative for the Calgary, AB branch. This permanent full-time role covers outside/inside sales with about 60% travel and 40% phone/email follow-ups from the Calgary office.

Experience in Decorative Panels, Hardwood and Softwood Plywood, Lumber and value-added Wood programs is preferred. The role reports to the Sales Manager, Retail Panel Distribution, and emphasizes building relationships with retail lumberyards,

Qualifications

College or University degree in marketing or a related field, asset.
5–7 years of experience in a similar position would be an asset.
Experience in sales to retail markets and knowledge of retail building materials is an asset.
Business development skills to canvass new opportunities.
Strong personal and organizational skills; highly motivated and able to work independently.
Proficient computer skills, especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

Promote sales to retail lumber yards, flooring stores and design centre partners.
Focus on new business development while retaining existing customer relationships.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
Effectively manage the sales territory to maximize growth and productivity.
Develop and implement territory action plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
