Job summary

A leading audiovisual solutions provider is looking for an Installer in Edmonton to execute installation tasks for audiovisual projects, including cable pulling and connector installation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in audiovisual installations and must be able to lift, climb, and work in various environments. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work independently, along with a valid Driver's License. A professional and diverse work environment is offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of audiovisual installation experience preferred.
  • Preferred to have a valid Driver’s License and clean Driver's Abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation tasks like pulling cable and installing connectors.
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Mentor Level I Technicians.
  • Communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager.

Job Summary

Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform installation tasks for audio visual projects including but not limited to: pulling cable, installing connectors, mounting projects and metal fabrication
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors along with various other AV systems related tasks
  • Assist with basic mechanical fabrication and basic rack wiring
  • Projector and screen support structure installations
  • Test point to point functionality of systems
  • Mentor Level I Technicians
  • Communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager
  • Work with manufacturers to initiate return material authorizations as needed
  • Review equipment list with customer upon delivery
  • Travel to various job sites required

  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control
Education and/or Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of audiovisual installation experience preferred
  • Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Preferred External Training: InfoComm Quick Start to the audiovisual industry
  • Preferred External Training: InfoComm CTS General Certification
  • Preferred External Training: Extron AV Associate Certification
  • Preferred External Training: Crestron Professional Installation Certification
  • Preferred External Training: AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals
  • Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver's Abstract that meets AVI-SPL Driving Privileges standards
