Job summary

HARTING Americas in Canada seeks a Technical Inside Sales Representative to build relationships, service customers, and drive account growth across the region. This role coordinates pricing, product selection, cross-referencing, and configuration, and collaborates with Outside Sales to move opportunities from lead to close.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in technical Inside/Outside Sales within manufacturing or distribution and familiarity with SAP, MS Dynamics 365, and e-commerce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field.
• 2-3 years of technical Outside/Inside Sales experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong prospecting and closing skills with technical products.
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and e-commerce desirable.

Responsibilities

• Enhance current relationships and develop new ones within accounts.
• Assist customers with pricing requests, process brochures/samples, and follow up after POS.
• Provide front line technical support and collaborate with engineering for optimal solutions.
• Develop incoming leads through campaigns and cross-selling.
• Identify and qualify leads.
• Lead development of leads for mid/lower tier customers to drive sales revenue.
• Identify sales channel and responsibilities for leads outside own scope.
• Facilitate onboarding of new customers to the Customer Service team.
• Maintain the CRM with accounts, leads, and opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travel to Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, and other provinces about twice per year.
