Job summary

Wolseley Canada is hiring for a customer service/sales support role based in Edmonton. You will be the first point of contact, provide product knowledge, respond to customers in person, by phone or email, prepare small quotations, and assist in warehouse duties.

The position is a 3-month contract with opportunities to grow. Candidates should have previous technical sales or wholesale/customer-service experience and strong computer skills; AS400 experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous technical experience in sales or customer service in wholesale or distribution required.
• Local knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing is an asset.
• General computer skills including Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• First point of contact, offer prompt product knowledge and information to customers in a professional manner.
• Respond to customers in person, by phone or email.
• Prepare small order quotations on urgent contracting jobs.
• Pick customer orders from warehouse.
• Perform product research in catalogs and online.
• Verify items are available as ordered.
• Build positive relationships with customers and associates.
• Maintain stock of the counter area as needed.
• Assist in the warehouse if required.
