Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking a Team Lead in the Commercial Banking business line to coach a team of Commercial Account Directors and manage a senior client portfolio. The role emphasizes leadership, business development, and collaboration across distribution channels to promote solutions while maintaining risk controls.

You will report to the Regional Vice-President, Enterprise and Private Wealth Management, and cover the Monteregie region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree with several years of leadership experience.
• Experience managing teams and coaching staff.
• Solid background in commercial banking, credit and business development.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Account Directors in support of the Regional VP.
• Coach and develop staff; monitor performance and skills.
• Implement growth strategies to increase sector profitability.
• Establish partnerships to maximize market impact.
• Contribute to annual business planning and execution.
• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Act as an ambassador for the Bank in the local community.
• Balance risk management with profitability in business development.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Stay informed on market trends and evolving client needs.
• Identify new ways of working and promote continuous improvement.
