Job summary

National Bank in Vancouver seeks a Director, Commercial Banking to grow a portfolio of business clients. You’ll identify opportunities, develop strategies, and tailor financial solutions while ensuring profitability and risk standards.

You’ll collaborate with Financing Solutions and departments to deliver the best client outcomes. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll leverage a network of local contacts, lead business development efforts, and participate in industry events and community

Qualifications

• At least 5–9 years in sales and business development within financial industry.
• University certificate with corresponding experience requirements.
• Bachelor's degree with significant experience in relevant fields.
• Master's degree with strong experience is an asset.
• Experience in analysis of financial statements and commercial credit.
• Network of professional contacts among local SMEs and large companies is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop business opportunities in the Vancouver market and drive our commercial client base.
• Propose financial strategies using Bank products to help clients achieve objectives.
• Negotiate terms while ensuring risk management and profitability standards.
• Develop and implement business development plans and assist regional leadership.
• Collaborate with Financing Solutions and other departments to deliver solutions.
