Job summary

National Bank seeks a Team Lead in commercial banking to coach Account Directors and manage a senior portfolio of commercial clients. Lead field engagement, drive growth strategies, and ensure compliance while partnering with the Regional Vice-President for Enterprise & Private Wealth Management in the Monteregie region.

You will develop the team, optimize performance, foster community relations, and ensure risk management aligns with profitability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 7 years of experience or master's with 5 years.
  • Experience in personnel management and coaching.
  • Strong experience in commercial credit and business development.
  • Proficiency with banking systems.
  • Ability to influence, lead and manage priorities.
  • Autonomy, organisation and change management.

Responsibilities

As a Team lead, in the commercial banking business line at National Bank, yo ur role is to coach a team of Commercial Account Directors in order to promote solutions across the Bank’s various distribution channels, while also managing a senior portfolio of commercial client s.

You will stand out through your ability to support your team in the field, your business development skills, your influence, your leadership, and your collaborative mindset.

This position reports to the Regional Vice-President, Enterprise and Private Wealth Management, and covers the Monteregie region.

Your role
  • Manage a team of Account Directors, in support of the Regional Vice-President, by creating an environment that fosters engagement and the achievement of objectives
  • Monitor employee performance and skill development through personalized coaching
  • Optimize the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the sector by implementing business growth strategies
  • Establish strategies with partners to maximize market impact and increase the visibility of your sector
  • Contribute to the development of the annual business plan for your market and manage its execution
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships through various acquisition and client retention activities
  • Act as an ambassador for the Bank within the local community and foster relationships with key partners
  • Ensure a balance between risk management and profitability in business development activities
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and the application of operational procedures
  • Stay informed about market trends and ensure that products and services meet evolving client needs and remain competitive
  • Be proactive in identifying new ways of working, promoting continuous improvement, and leveraging new tools

Within the Enterprise & Private Wealth Management 1859 sector, you will be part of a team of professionals supporting commercial clients. In addition, you will be surrounded by a full ecosystem of experts to help you deliver the most appropriate solutions to clients.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience or master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in personnel management and/or coaching

  • Proficiency in the various banking systems
  • Strong ability to influence, lead and manage priorities
  • Autonomy, organisation and change management
