We Invite Applications For The Temporary Position Of

  • 1.0 FTE Primary Teacher
  • This assignment will begin as noted above or upon leave of the incumbent and will end June 30, 2026 or upon return of the incumbent.

The teacher will work to create hands-on learning opportunities which align with BC Curriculum, support educational objectives, and extend academic/social emotional growth. The educator will use the Core Competencies to guide assessment and program development with a focus on Airport School's Growth Plan to enhance applied mathematics and inclusion. As lifelong learners themselves, our educators embrace diversity, apply assessment for learning approaches, and integrate technology in meaningful ways to support learning.

The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate
  • Engaging learners to develop creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and social competencies across the curriculum.
  • Incorporates the First Peoples Principles of Learning and Indigenous ways of knowing.
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to working collaboratively as part of small teacher team advancing methods in curriculum integration, place-based and project-based learning.
  • Personalization of learning
  • Has experience or is excited to learn and implement a Learning to Play classroom environment.
  • Experience, fostering active participation and using nature's resource as tools for learning.
