Responsibilities
  • Delivers exceptional customer service and ensures compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and other applicable laws, policies and regulations.
  • Ensures that proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the casino.
  • Assist patrons with a wide variety of inquiries and situations including providing information about the property and events, giving directions and possibly escorting them if necessary.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner.
  • Patrol the casino areas to establish a security presence and report all unusual situations and/or suspicious persons.
  • Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency situations.
  • Assist in maintaining proper key control.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
  • The Supervisor is accountable to his or her staff, assisting with hiring, training, evaluations, recognition and development.
  • Responsible for the protection of company assets and the reporting and arrest of criminals, ensuring the maintenance of peace and order for guests and fellow employees.
  • Provides first aid and medical attention as required.
  • Presents a strong presence on the gaming floor.
  • Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security
  • A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field
  • A current First Aid/CPR Certificate, along with Non Violent Intervention Technique Certificate
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
SKILLS
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages
  • Previous gaming experience or knowledge of the gaming industry
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to walk distances
  • The employee must frequently lift/push/pull and/or move up to 50 pounds
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
