Job summary

Forsite Consultants Ltd. is offering a seasonal Student Forest Technician position across several BC locations, including Prince George, Salmon Arm, Kamloops, 100 Mile House, and Nelson.

The role supports timber development, silviculture operations, and field surveying during the 2026 term. Ideal candidates are outdoors-oriented with forestry passion, able to work with limited supervision, and possess a valid driver's license (preferred).

• Self-direction, flexibility and the ability to work under limited direct supervision.
• A safety conscious attitude.
• A passion for forestry and working outdoors as this is field job.
• Preference given to candidates with a valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.

• Student forestry staff will be responsible for providing technical support to project teams in all aspects of timber development and silviculture operations.
• Multiphase timber development includes timber reconnaissance, field engineering, riparian and ecological assessments, timber cruising, and GPS traversing.
• Silviculture services include surveys, prescription development, planting supervision, and silviculture management.
