Job summary

Forsite Consultants Ltd. is seeking a Senior Forest Technician based in Prince George to support forest development activities and field operations. You will conduct reconnaissance road/cutblock engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and prepare the associated plans and appraisal packages in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry.
• Registered or eligible to register with FPBC as an RPF or RFT.
• Minimum of 3 years of multiphase timber development project management in BC.
• Strong understanding of BC forest legislation, regulation and policy.
• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to work independently as well as in a dynamic team environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• A safety conscious attitude, experience supporting safety programs, and developing a team safety culture;
• Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry;
• Registered or eligible to registered with the FPBC as an RPF or RFT;
• A minimum of 3 years of multiphase timber development project management in British Columbia;
• A strong understanding of the forest legislation, regulation and policy impacting forest planning and management in British Columbia;
• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions;
• Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment.
