Morgan McKinley is seeking a seasoned procurement leader in Toronto (hybrid) to own and evolve a growing procurement function. You will partner with senior leaders, define governance, and implement structured processes while remaining hands-on to drive value across the organization.

The role emphasizes building best practices, optimizing spend, and delivering visibility into contracts, vendors, and renewals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive procurement experience with a focus on leading functions in a professional services context.
• Strong experience across vendor management, strategic sourcing, RFPs, negotiations, and contract management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and improve procurement processes and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the organization’s procurement function and help define its ongoing direction.
• Build upon existing procurement processes, policies, and practices to scale with the organization.
• Introduce structure and governance while maintaining a practical, business-focused approach.
• Develop procurement best practices tailored to the organization’s needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, controls, and overall efficiency.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on opportunities and priorities.
• Manage and develop relationships with key vendors and third-party service providers.
• Lead sourcing initiatives, RFPs, negotiations, and vendor selection processes.
• Establish consistent approaches for evaluating and selecting vendors.
• Review vendor relationships and identify opportunities for consolidation or renegotiation.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure service standards are met.
• Support informed purchasing and vendor decisions across the organization.
