Job summary

The Government of Nova Scotia’s Public Works department at Miller Lake is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support the Fleet Services division. You will help plan daily shop operations, generate work orders, and coordinate parts and schedules to meet fleet maintenance needs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with five years of related experience in a heavy equipment environment, strong computer skills, and knowledge of SAP modules.

Qualifications

• High School completion plus five (5) years of related work experience in an equipment and repair environment.
• Exceptional computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and using a computerized work order system.
• Experience with SAP modules (Plant maintenance, Materials Management, Controlling) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Generating work orders.
• Preparing project time cost estimates and reports.
• Facilitating parts lists.
• Maintaining the preventative maintenance schedules for the fleet.
