Job summary

Ernestine's Women's Shelter seeks a strategic Senior Manager of Development and Communications to lead fundraising, donor engagement, and communications. You will report to the Executive Director and oversee 2-3 direct reports, shaping a diversified revenue strategy and sustaining life-saving services for survivors of violence.

You will build long-term donor relationships, manage major gifts, and guide communications and campaigns, including events and digital channels, to advance Ernestine's

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of progressively senior fundraising leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success leading annual fundraising programs with year-over-year growth.
• Demonstrated ability to solicit investments and manage a donor portfolio.
• Experience with major gifts, sponsorships and philanthropic investments.
• CFRE designation or equivalent is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive fundraising, donor engagement and communications strategy.
• Develop and execute diversified fundraising initiatives across individuals, foundations, corporate partners, and government funding.
• Oversee donor communications, stewardship templates, and reporting materials.
• Manage annual department budgets and strategic direction.
• Collaborate with Executive Director and Board to grow transformational funding.
