Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals. You will act as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is away.

Key responsibilities include assisting with operations and staff management, merchandising, stocking, customer service, training, cash handling, opening/closing duties, safety and cleanliness, and performance evaluations. Open availability is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of retail experience minimum.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
