Job summary

Dollarama in La Malbaie, Canada is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. This role acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.

You will lead staff, oversee merchandising, training, cash handling, and safety, while delivering exceptional service and ensuring execution of company standards. The position offers competitive compensation, benefits, and career growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Two years of retail experience minimum.
• At least two years in a supervisory/management role.
• Open availability including day, evening, and weekends.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Oversee merchandising, stocking, and daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and store opening/closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
