Dollarama in Canada is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and hitting sales goals. You will act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store Manager.

You will lead staff, help with merchandising, training, and delivering outstanding service. This role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability including days, evenings and weekends.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with daily operations and staff management.
• Support merchandising, stocking, and daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and opening/closing duties.
• Assign tasks and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and give feedback.
• Ensure adherence to policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Participate in hiring and performance management.
