Job summary

London Public Library is seeking an Audio Visual Operator to provide high quality AV services for the Wolf Performance Hall and other library locations. You will set up equipment, operate live sound and lighting during events, and support rental programs while ensuring safety and security of gear.

The role requires a 2-year post-secondary program in AV, proven hands-on experience with Digico and Avolite systems, strong customer service, and availability for evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• 2-year post-secondary program or two-year college equivalency with AV setup courses.
• Proven experience operating AV equipment and related computer hardware/software incl. Digico and Avolite.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Evening and weekend availability; call-in readiness.
• Excellent customer service and strong listening/solutions skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and stakeholder relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Set up stage and equipment for events/programs per SOP and directions.
• Operate AV equipment during events, including live sound and lighting cues.
• Troubleshoot routine issues and perform minor repairs when possible.
• Report major problems and customer concerns to supervisor and coordinator.
• Act as technical contact and build positive relationships with clients.
• Provide on-site AV training/familiarization for customers as needed.
• Ensure gear is secured, stored, and stage/booth is clean after events.
