Job summary

Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity invites applications for an Audio Visual Technician to deliver a full range of AV services for clients, visiting artists and faculty on campus.

Reporting to the Manager, AV Services, you will coordinate equipment requests, set up, test, and troubleshoot gear while delivering top-notch customer service. The role requires 1 year post-secondary training and 2 years AV experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1 year of formal post-secondary training in computing, electronics or related discipline
• 2 years' experience in all aspects of Audio Visual delivery and production, including design, set-up, operation, and minor maintenance
• Competent in set-up and operation of AV equipment and related software used in recording, production and duplication of audio/video content
• Excellent clerical skills for quotations, invoices and equipment booking/tracking
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and book all equipment requests, verify equipment integrity, deliver and set up equipment per client specifications, test and troubleshoot
• Sign out equipment for tracking and billing, retrieve on and off campus
• Manage overbooking, retrieve equipment after use, check for damage and verify integrity on return
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs of equipment
• Meet clients to ascertain equipment needs and provide solutions and instructions
• Serve as dedicated Technician/Operator when required
• Deliver excellent customer service to all clients
• Address security, safety or operational issues
• Other duties as assigned
