Job summary

Alstom is actively seeking a contract and claims management expert to safeguard our interests and drive successful project execution across the lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with Project Management, Legal, Finance, and Operations to coordinate governance and ensure CCIM compliance.

You’ll develop CMSP, monitor milestones, prepare claims, and train stakeholders while applying innovative solutions. We value collaboration, precision, and clear communication across functions and countries.

Qualifications

• A degree in Law, Engineering, Finance, Technical, Economics, or Business Sciences.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Contract/Claim Management or Project Management.
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
• Ability to interpret contractual documents, including terms and conditions, technical specifications, and financial implications.
• Experience with project management software, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively.
• Operational effectiveness, accountability, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Willingness to bring forward creative ideas and innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on precision and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Driving contract management activities with the support of allocated resources, such as Project Contract Managers or Contract Administrators.
• Developing and implementing Contract Management Strategy Plans (CMSP) in collaboration with the core project team.
• Ensuring the consistent application of Alstom’s governance, including the Contract, Claims, and Insurance Management Manual (CCIM).
• Monitoring project schedules and ensuring all contractual milestones are met.
• Preparing and managing claims/counterclaims and supporting documentation for negotiations.
• Providing training on contract and claim management to key stakeholders across the project.

You'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding Alstom’s interests and driving the successful execution of projects by preparing, coordinating, and managing contract and claims strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Management, Legal, Finance, and Operations), ensure compliance with Alstom’s governance and best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives—and much more."

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is$140,000 – $170,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
